10th District Benevolent Fund needs your help!
As many of you know we have had a number of unfortunate events occur to L2881 members and/or their family members here in the 10th District - San Diego. The CAL FIRE San Diego Benevolent Fund was established to provide assistance specifically during these times of critical need. We are able to purchase items and provide funds immediately to those in need.
The benevolent fund cannot be used for political action, it is strictly for benevolent situations.
Our fund has expended $1000's of dollars over the last year and a half and is at a critical point in funding and is in need of donations. As of today, support of a Type 1 Service for a member would completely exhaust the funds in the benevolent account. We have been fortunate in the fact that over the last few years, we have had some excellent funding opportunities and are appreciative to the members and their families who made it happen, without their assistance we would've definitely been without already. We are working on some future events and will provide information once available.
In the meantime, if you have the opportunity, please consider donating to this fund which may be needed by any of us at any time. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact any of your union officers.
